what time does each generation take place in relation to each other?

obviously gen II takes place right after gen I but what about the others?

Gen I and Gen III take place at approximately the same time.

Gen II and Gen IV take play three years after Gen I and Gen III. D/P/Pt takes place at least sometime after the Red Gyarados event in G/S/C/HG/SS.

Black and White take place an unknown amount of time after Gen II/Gen IV.

Black 2 and White 2 take place two years after Black and White.

I was always under the impression that Gens 1 and 3, take place at the same time and Gens 2 and 4 at the same time. With a 3 year gap between 1/3 and 2/4.

No idea about Gen 5 or 6, also, no idea how I came to this conclusion. I feel like I read it somewhere, but that could have easily been a decade ago.

Generations II and IV are contemporary and occur three years AFTER Generations I and III.

Generation IV starts when the Generation II player is in Mahogany Town.

Generation V is set years after Generations II and IV (Black/White). Black 2/White 2 are set two years after Black/White.

We don't know how old red is, when Gold or whatever his name meets him, so gen 2 might take place during or way after gen 1

Red was eleven in Gen I.

Several NPCs refer to events from Gen I occurring "three years ago".

Thus, Red is fourteen in Gen II.

Are you retarded? Red is 11 in Generations I and III, thus 14 in Generations II and IV. Same with Blue. It's mentioned multiple times that the plot occurs three years in the future. Unlike what you think, Black 2/White 2 weren't the first direct sequels in the franchise since those were Gold/Silver (to Red/Green).
