You didn't play Black or White? Because that was authentic Pokemon fun.

Gen6 is horrible for that simply because there is a small pool of types so that Fairies can get a boost in population.

Maybe Gen7 will follow in Black & White's footsteps and we'll get 150 something new Pokemon spread out and have only them to use pre-game.

These anons are right. You should've had a play through like that in B/W.

With the retconned types, the megas, and mass of older Gen pokemon it's clear that they want you to use some older types. Just do it, OP.

I mean, Sycamore gives you a Kanto starter in the beginning anyway.

It should be pretty easy to just play through with only new Pokemon. There's a large selection of mons out there so at the same time you can catch em for your dex and shit too.

Even with all Pokemon spread out, it doesn't make a bad experience, but playing Black & White was a godsend. It gets too much hate for being, possibly, the best Pokemon generation yet.

I also loved the changes B2/W2 made to Pokemon locations. Catching baby Pokemon and even some unique Pokemon early made the game fun. I mean, leveling a Magby and Elekid up as I journey was simply awesome.

Sorry, there's jut not enough verity of Pokemon in Gen6 to make that feasible. If you were playing Nuzlocke the first time through, then yeah, but even then B2/W2 are great for that as well.

The people who hate on Gen 5 are the type who need something to hate on, it really was one of the best gens as far as gameplay goes.

If you don't rank Gen 5 as either equal in quality to Gen 1 or right after it, you don't know shit about pokemon.
