FF7 is held as one of the best classic RPGS. Its graphics were shit which means the only thing that could have made the game were either the characters or the story.
FF7 didn't even really get edgy and tryhard until its successors and sequels. To willfully deny that the game has captured the hearts of millions just because "I don't like it" is pretty hilarious really.
Now while I'm not going for the "Its popular so it must be good" side, Its pretty obvious that people love it for one reason. Take call of duty for example. The game is shit but the action and story is engaging. I hate the game but to deny that would just be ignorant.
