Have you ever studied the Bubonic Plague? That shit was intense. Not very child friendly. Meanwhile, a Pokemon based off stealing children is a good metaphor for kids not to accept rides and go places with strangers.

come on, the black plague is in every history schoolbook for kids when they are 8, usually illustraded with those creepy medieval painting with dead peaople and skeleton Death and shit. It's part of the very basinc culture there.

It reminds me of 80's cartoon mascots like the thing frmo She-ra and Thundercats. 10/10 design.

It's still a plague doctor, just not a realistic one like that speculation art.

Has a mask like face, uses smells to heal and exposes it's ankles (Because plague doctor clothing would have been useful against the plague had the ankles not been left exposed)

Anways, it's pretty clear the two draw at least some inspiration from plague doctors, the perfume association and bird noses is too much a coincidence, but I think their mainly suppose to be associated with flamboyant masked masquerade goers.

Goomy, this, Swirlix, Auroros.
Granted, that's like 6 Pokemon, but that's a lot for me. Usually I like a Pokemon all the way through the line, but this gen there have been more than a few stinkers.

On the other hand, Tyrantrum, Clawitzer and Diggersby couldn't have turned out better.

I was gearing up for Sligoo to continue with the slug-snail progression, but then it turned into Melty Barney. I'm not even sure what Dragoo is supposed to be. It went from a slime to a snail to... god knows what.
Also, I've heard it has an insane evolution level.

We'll have to see stats to fully confirm, but a 3 stage dragon with a high evolution level is most definitely the pseudo. At least, there's nothing else that fits.
Dunno how I feel about Dragoo standing alongside Metagross and Tyranitar, though.

There's never been typing patterns for pseudo-legendaries. I guess it's just up to whatever they want with the types.
So far we've only had dual types, but it's obviously not set in stone on the level of every generation having a Mew, or whatever.
