I've been seeing a lot of people saying Drought Lead Charizard is some sort of GOAT tier idea. Azumarill is going to once again become a staple. Before Charizard can even get his digivolve up, aqua jet will KO him. Pull him out, and someone will set up stealth rock before he can get back in again.

Well, to be fair, the way drought works, the sunlight only begins at the end of the first turn Charizard is out, meaning if he is KOed immediately, no sun.

Even though he's wrong about the priority of the evolution, Charizard's defenses don't increase (just Special Attack and Speed), and the drought doesn't really take effect until turn 2.

Actually, Slowbro just set a Trick Room in the previous turn, so of course Ampharos went before Mega Blaziken.

It's a mere technicality though, since it DOES mega evolve immediately at the start of the turn despite Slowbro and Gogoat acting before it. It is priority, after all.

I think something like Garchomp with stone edge will be the lead to take out both Charizard X or Y if they show up in the game. Y will probably end up in ubers to balance sun teams, and X is garbage enough to be dropped into purgatory BL.
