So we all agree on reasons why X and Y are shit. But let's brainstorm reasons why it is shit that may not have been considered yet.

How can they justify making two versions with so few pokemon in the first place?

But OP, that's not what fairy pokemon are about. They're meant to be pink fluffy things. It makes no sense for sword wielding warriors to be fairy.

For example, look at Honedge's line. It could have been fairy because sword, but instead it's Ghost/Steel.

Dragon slaying knights were never Gamefreak's idea of a fairy pokemon.
