Only 5 of the 26 evolution lines have second stages. Does this annoy anyone else? I'm not butthurt or mad; pretty neutral about all gens, my opinion won't change what's already happened I'm just a bit disappointed that for instance Helioptile or Litleo don't have second stages, they seem incomplete to me

This always happens in even gens. We've actually got more 3 stage lines than Gen 2 and 4 did.
Not counting stuff that made 3 stage lines by evolving from something mind you.

I've never noticed that before though like you say, if you DO including prevos then there are 6 in both G2 and G4
