As i see it those of you who don't are already in OP's scenario exacly, only you see Ferrothorn, Politoed and Scizor instead of megas.

Just learn to play with sets that weren't pre-baked by some 15 year old autist over at smogon (whose dick you munch on every time you use your gay OU team btw) and then come challange me and the other real players in NU/RU.

You have to sacrifice the item slot for Mega a Pokemon. Sure that Charizard X could be Uber and shit, but others will prefer to use Choice items, Leftovers/Black Sludge, berries, or try to swap your stone with Trick (if possible).

Mewtwo is still OP on his own and can use other items instead of relying on MegaForms, and Gardevoir can be trained as support.

I actually like lower tiers, but you come off as a pretentious little twat. Not to mention the only OU Pokemon that breaches 20% usage is Scizor, Ferrothorn (second most used) is used just as much as Slowking and Chandelure are in their respective tiers.

Haha, you almost make it sound like 20% usage isn't so astronomically high it's ridiculous :) 10 is more than enough to be very over represented. Besides, the pokémon with high usage in OU are so because they are all exploiting something very cheap, easy and obvious (bullet punch Scizor + rain to nullify 4x weakness).

In the lower tiers a good pokémon has some slightly more useful tools than others. There are also more than one or two sets to run per mon.

So, you know, maybe you should stop reading what children on forums tell you to think and use your brain before you try and school others on a game (that you relatively suck ass at).

Also, if you want call others pretentious and get away with it, try not being twice as pretentious as them and wrong at the same time ;)

Taking that into account, I wonder if Mega Mewtwo X gets a significant boost in bulk. He gets Recover and CM, (and possibly Bulk Up/Power-Up Punch) a Physical Mewtwo might actually be interesting to see.

The base stats for MewtwoY leaked on Smogon put his defence in the 70-85 range. Pretty average.
Predicting and swapping into a Psystrike shouldn't be too hard, and it's all priority from there.

40 * 1.5 * 1.5 * 1.5 * 2 = 270
That's a lot of damage for a Pokemon with average defences.

It makes sense though, it looks like the Megas for the pokemon at the top-end of the BST charts aren't getting direct upgrades like some of the less-viable ones are.

#1. The mega stone is like Giratina's Griseous Orb and Arceus' Plates. It cannot be tricked or knocked off.

#2 Once a pokemon is mega, it cannot revert. Only the battle ending cancels the state.

Sucker Punch isn't exactly reliable. You need to pair it up with Pursuit for even a 50% chance of effectively trapping a pokemon. God help you if it's a Sub set.

That hasn't been confirmed anyway. The only thing we know for sure is no Gen 6 mega-evolutions (this much was officially confirmed).

Nobody knows how many or what kind of mega-stones are present in the game. What if, for instance, mega stones are awarded as prizes for doing well in the battle chateau? Nobody has investigated that or many other areas in the game. Stop jumping to conclusions.

They released Gen 1 Megas for nostalgia pandering reasons. They give you these starters because they want to show off their nostalgia pandering. The Battle Tower rewards and the like have been sifted through, and they offer nothing like a Mega Stone, so we have literally no reason to suspect that the other '''''''post-game content'''''' offers it.
I mean, shit, you can't even get Torterra in the game. Why would they make the stone an in-game reward?

I think the "nostalgia pandering" is also, in part, celebratory.

As for Mega Stones, have we even found/seen Kangaskhanite? Absolite? Mawilite?Garchompite?

I don't recall anything about even finding half of the stones for Megas that WERE revealed. Writing off possibilities of more Megas simply because people are terrible at exploring and the game could have dumb shit like needing to do obscure things or having certain Pokemon that you can't get until December/PokeTransfer is just silly.

And this isn't even some OH GOD, I'M HOPEFUL thing. I don't particularly care how many Mega Evos we get, but I think people are jumping the gun on this one. This isn't as simple as using the pokedex to figure it out.
