I believe the only differences known at this point are,

X - Xerneas, Mega Charizard X, Mega Mewtwo X, Clauncher, prevo of Treverant is easier to catch

Y - Yveltel, Mega Charizard Y, Mega Mewtwo Y, Skrelp, Pumpkaboo is easier to catch

Y is superior. Better megas (this is not debatable) and better Gen 6 exclusives.

The Gen 1-5 exclusives favor X but you can import those from previous games anyway.
