Do those with the game not realize that they can tell who gets megas based on how much of the dex they've filled out?

Megas take up a space. If there's no space, there's no mega. Sadly, pictures of the dex have already confirmed no mega Jynx or Basculin (why Basculin is even in the fucking thing is beyond me).

So what gives?
