With the coming of x/y and poison finally being less than a joke. Do you think it would be possible to run a semi-competitive mono-poison team?

Obviously there is a great deal we still do not know about x/y mechanics, but for the time being, what are some movesets/mons you think could make the dream a reality?

Off the top of my head I can think of these usable poison bros and their secondary types.

Weezing, Venusaur-grass, Gengar-ghost, Nidoking-ground,
Crobat-flying, Drapion-dark, Toxicroak-fighting, Tentacruel-water, Scolipede-bug, and now we have Dragalge-dragon.

I'd love to see Venoshock make its mark, I think it's a move with massive potential when you pair it with Toxic Spikes. The only real sticking point is that the only Poison type with decent special attack is Gengar. The next highest after him is Venusaur at 100.

Apart from that I think Poison will be decent this gen, not amazing but definitely in a better spot than it was. Unlike Ice...

Getting tired of seeing this fucker get more powerful with each generation but at least his second type isn't just a handicap anymore.

Oh yeah forgot about that guy. Well, then looks like we have a team. Toxicroak is basically mandatory to take out steel types, Tentacruel for stall and maybe Amoonguss for Spore?

Krobat's massive attack and speed can be put to better use, similarly we can include Muk for minimize/sludge wave, doesn't Muk get decent SP attack?

Mono-poison has always been pretty usable. Sure, it isn't a good attacking type, but defensively it's great, which is what monotype teams need, as long as they have enough Pokémon with coverage (which it does)
