Why? What the hell was the point of them supposed to be?

There are countless Pokemon that are completely unviable yet are fairly popular (Houndoom, Dunsparce) yet GF powers up shit like Garchomp and T-tar, which never ever needed a boost.

Seriously, I would've liked megas a lot more if they actually had a use that wasn't pandering.

It's likely they asked a group of ten-year-old boys and girls to name some of their favourite Pokémon that they'd like to see better.
Boys chose Mewtwo, Garchomp, Charizard etc.
Girls chose Ampharos, Mawile, Absol etc.

The only mons getting Megas who are already "too good" are Garchomp, Blaziken, and Mewtwo. All the rest (Gengar, Abomasnow, Gyarados) aren't "too good", though they're good enough already

The problem, of course, is that with one mega evo per team, nobody is gonna pick Mawile when they can pick Blaziken.

The good news is that the already OP mons will simply have their megas shitkicked to Ubers, so it's not like it's a big deal.

Everyone fucking hated them, specially when they turned into armors. Good thing they dissapeared in Galaxy. I love Inazuma Eleven, the games are actually fun.

I hope MewTwo Y is banned from competitive play altogether. He's fun as a game-breaker for the SP, not for actual competitive play.

And Charizard... I'd prefer getting only one Mega well thought out than two somewhat thought out ones.
Design-wise, I prefer X's head,torso and forearms, but Y's wings, tail and shoulders, as well as Y's color scheme.
Type/Ability wise, I like X's type and Y's ability.
Stats-boost wise... need to see Y's before making an opinion.
Although, I'm sure that there will be YET ANOTHER megazard in Z (as if two weren't enough) that will ALSO be semi-thought out but not really ideal.

I agree, I fucking love the games. Even got a JP 3DS pretty much just to play the Go games. Avatars were pretty dumb, I didn't mind them too much, but they just felt so out of place. They absolutely destroyed any semblance of balance in the game as well. Worried that Soul in Galaxy might just be Avatars all over again.

The games are pretty much a apokemon game with soccer, but damn are they fun it took me an eternity, but I managed to recruit Aphrodi in Blizzard.

I don't have a JP 3DS to play the games. So they really were like megas are going to be? Overpowered?

Insanely. Anyone without an Avatar is Go 1 is borderline useless. Go 2 actually balanced it a bit better, if only because a lot more players get them normally and it's easier to get them for players who don't. Plus Miximax helps with keeping up.
