I far would have prefered the gen IV route of giving useless old pokemon evos to try and make them relevant than powering up already strong/well liked pokemon. But that is fine too.

i can understand the lack of new pokemon, i do not like it but i can understand it. but if they make this a habit and totally shift focus then i am done buying new gens after this one. megas add nothing to the experience for me, especially considering you can only have one per battle. hopefully they make up for it later down the line, if not then oh well. nothing good last forever.

Because its much less than what were used to. It's less than half then what we got last time. It means you have fewer tools to try out in a playthrough meaning less replay value and less fun you will have trying out new things. That's a pretty big flaw.

You know damn well that if GF added the same amount of pokes as in previous gens, people would still complan.

The new pokemon stats look pretty decent so far. The designs are hit or miss, but it looks like most of them are actually usable outside of a play-through.
