Vivillion because it's the only new bug type at all, and it's just another bug/flying three stager. I was wanting another cool line like the Nincada, and carrablast/shelmet lines.

I'm super excited for Diggersby more than most of them. I haven't seen stats or abilities, admittedly, but I'm down with the Ground/Normal-typing.

I got really turned on to Normal type in Gen5 with Stoutland and Cinccino.

but keep in mind diggersby is common, so multiple diggersbys stats have been looked at, so his stats are likely quite accurate

like 90/80/80 defenses, or a 100 attacking stat, or something, christ. That on top of 90 base speed and a movepool to speak of could be usable in NU. Some faster taunting, some stealth rocks, some spikes, some rapid spin, STAB EQ, STAB body slam, and you never know, a niche might arise. But no, it's pure worthless trash.

You have to go in with a "no expectations, no disappointments" mindset. That said some shit is very obviously not going to be good and you can pick them up just off of looks alone in extreme cases, and this is sometimes backed by observable trends.

nigga what? the only good rock special move is power gem, and odds are it wont get that, there arent any good special normal moves it would have access to, so its special movepool is probably surf and icebeam
compare to physical, where it could have return, body slam, thrash, stone edge, earthquake

Diggersby is pretty much exactly the same as every other rodent. But it is ground type making it better. Also note how all the rodents have uneven stat numbers not all ending in 5 and 0 like diggersby's calculations. So it could have a slightly higher bst aswell.

What are its abilities though? They're all basically dependent on Quiver Dance, but function differently. Butterfree as compound eyes for accurate sleep powdering allowing easy set up, Mothim has Tinted Lens/Swarm for damage after setting up, and Masquerain has Intimidate for easier baton passes.

Ledian is design wise probably my favourite pokemon. Still holding out on an evolution for it. I'll even settle for a mega evolution.
It's still hard to believe just how bad its stats are. I mean, its got boxing gloves, 4 arms, and iron fist. And 45 attack.

Fucking love Clauncher and thought for sure it was going to get Fire or Steel as a secondary type. But instead it stayed mono Water type for whatever reason. And to add insult to injury, Skrelp starts out as a dual type and gets ANOTHER secondary type upon evolution.

Easily my favorite of this gen and one of my all-time favorites in terms of design. Looks like a fucking rape machine. But it has terrible stats that don't at all reflect the kind of stats a fucking T-Rex Pokemon should have.
