>>14361164>>14361934I saw this book before, from what I remember reading about it, the main protagonist is a down-on-his-luck worker who strongly believes in the mystical power of numerology, and is wary of meeting the one accosiated with the number opposite his own, as that one is his rival/enemy or something. He has a girlfriend who is obssessed with Pokemon, and associates people with pokemon too, seeing herself as a Meowth, the protag. as a Pikachu, and his gay, antagonistic boss (I swear that was what the summary said), as a fucking Rayquaza. Said gay Rayquaza boss also happens to fall under the number the protag. always feared.
There's also another guy who associates everyone with Jedi or something.
It's bizzare as fuck, and if you want to find the summary yourself, the book is called either "Numbers" or "Numerals", and is written by Victor Pelevin.
Be aware, though, that the summary I read was written in garbled English, like some kind of Anglish or something.
