Which W/B/W2/B2 should I buy? It seems like Black 2 has the most exclusive Pokemon, but I don't entirely understan how stuff works with old version Pokemon and the White Forest.

B2/W2 are great. I would suggest W2 as B2's Black Tower is a bit lacklustre for post game and W2 still has battle trains and champion tournament but with more pokemon. I'm a biased genwunner that got B2 waiting for X/Y to come out and it was great.

i'd recommend B or W.

B2/W2 are overly long, really boring and annoying. you can barely walk 2 minutes without someone stopping you for 10 minutes of dialogue and introducing an entire new section of the game

B/W had the perfect length and a good amount to do without it being too much, you could build ideal teams easily, etc

Alrighty, guess I'll go with White 2 like everyone's suggesting. Wotter seems like the clear choice for starter. Is there anything I should know going into it, or is it pretty standard Pokemon?

I was told by all my friends that I should just skip B/W (I hadn't played since Gen III, and only got back into Pokemon around April), so I bought Black 2 (only because fucking Gamestop was sold out of White 2)
