X is the "real" version isn't it? You catch the X legendary to stop team flare from using the Y legendary. In Y you have to fight/catch Yveltal to stop it.

I prefer megazard y because he doesn't have those retarded wings or shoulder horns. He also looks like a more natural progression of charizard, and between all the dragon types I can choose I don't see myself picking that thing.

My only reason to get X would be Clawitzer, but Dragalge has a much more desirable typing.

While Fire/Dragon is cool, I like Mega Y because it's more faithful to the original look of Charizard. Plus, muh meta and such.

Additionally, I'm fairly certain that Mega Charizard X uses Charizardite X, meaning it can be transferred over to Y, and vice versa.

Ultimately, anyone who wants either one will eventually be able to get it.

i'm getting y because there seems to be more elegant design there whereas x tends to look more dbz. mewtwo, of course, being the perfect example.

Seriously, Charizard is like the second most popular Pokémon in existance, tied with Mewtwo perhaps and second to Pikachu. Blastoise is no way near as popular, and Venusaur is even less popular

Even factoring in version exclusives, the Y versions of Mega Mewtwo and Mega Charizard are both better than the X versions to me. The rest of the version exclusives are overall equal to me.

I was going with Y until the announcement of Megacharizard X.
Call it edgy, I don't care. I'm 25 and I play ppokemon since Yellow and since then I wanted a Dragon type Charizard. Plus I like the black body/blue flames design.
Oh, and I'm not into competive so I couldn't care less about stonefags or entry hazards.
I just can't wait to MegaEvolve the Charizard I raised in LeafGreen and transfered through all these Generations.

Most interesting design of the Gen I starters. I'm happy that Mega Venusaur might actually be good now if drought's nerfed. Bad for normal chloropyll vensusaur, but mega venusaur will be more durable if synthesis is more reliable as well.

actually, Y might be better. You got massive sweeping potential without support.

You got higher Sp. Attack, and drought (even if nerfed) gives you a huge boost for fire moves AND weakens water moves against you.

It's also objectively the better design because they fucked up Charizard X bad. See >>14378041, the shoulder spikes could be tolerated, but they made the blue flames out of his mouth really awful.

Mewtwo X is another victim to overdesign.

Mewtwo Y may be a bit creepy, but it's rationalized by being closer to mew, and something that actually makes sense for a psychic pokemon.

It's also the best for sweeping potential. ~190 special attack with ~150 speed. It's almost as great as a LO Mewtwo without the drawbacks and better everything else.

Well what the fuck do we base our decision on because as it stands we know the cover legendaries, 2 sets of normal Pokemon and 2 sets of Mega forms. Charizard means shit all as well because only 1/3 of people will pick him anyway. Right now I only picked Y because the bird looked ever so slightly less retarded than the deer.
