Started with Gen I (fuck yeah, Venusaur!), creamed myself over Gen 2 (fuck yeah, Typhplosion!), got about halfway through Emerald before I gave up but played the shit out of Fire Red (fuck yeah, Blastoise!), played Heart Gold religiously and totally ignored both Sinnoh and Unova (fuck yeah, Feraligatr!)
I'm almost certainly getting Y, but I've been thinking about catching myself up with one of the Sinnoh games and White, too. Everyone is wet for N and the Unova story line, but I suspect it's really more of the same grindiness in terms of gameplay. I probably would have totally checked out of Gen III and IV if not for the nostalgia blowjob.
So, do you guys think Sinnoh and Unova are worth the time and money? Speaking of, which Sinnoh game is best? I've heard mixed things on Platinum being better or worse than Diamond and Pearl.
