Seriously, Hoenn was alright but its story was pure ass.

OP, it all depends on what you're expecting. If you're going to play it, go for Emerald. But if you want actually decent mechanics, they got a good tweak at gen IV. Gen V only made the game faster.

Not OP here. If I went through BW2 should I still try platinum? I kinda played the ROM a few years back but I'm actually considering getting one. I couldn't be bothered to finish the HGSS post game if that's of any reference.

Funny how that image shows what's worst about Hoenn but in a good way. Gen 3 was shit and everyone hated it back then, and if it wasn't because of Fire Red it would be shit tier. It's like Pokemon's Wind Waker, you either love it (first pokemon game) or hate it (third pokemon game).

Play Gold first OP, or Heart Gold at least.
