and pokemon red/blue were so good they're basically the reason nintendo's handhelds succeeded.
Yes, they had some issues that got later balanced, and yes their age definitely shows now, but for a pretty unique concept at the time, and the fact that the general formula hasn't changed in what? almost 20 years? I'd say it's a good game.
