Should my first blind run of X be a Nuzlocke run, or should I play through first and then do a Nuzlocke of Y or the inevitable Z? I am seriously agonizing over this.

Just left safari zone, counted each of the four areas as a new encounter seeing it's hard a fuck to catch pokemon there. Got lucky as fuckkkk getting exeggcute and dragonair

Play through the game once just with who you want.
It's better that way.
Because with the huge pokemon availability, you might not get that many from Kalos, and that sucks.

Started a Platinum Nuzlocke a few days ago. Was doing horribly recently. Lost two of my best mons to unlucky crits. Finally lost it today when my started died from a self-destruct. Might try again later, but wow I am pissed.

Are you me? I can't wait to start my Y Nuzlocke.

Starting out with Pokemon Red.

Due to not having nearly enough potions, lost my Gyarados, Paras, and Butterfree on the SS Anne.

First two to Gary, second to some sailor and his dickass Tentacool.

It's considered against the spirit of the rules to just use the Old Rod anywhere and get a replacement Magikarp, right?

if you're not running dupes clause then it's fine, provided the magikarp is caught somewhere you haven't previously caught something. Try the water at Vermillion or Pallet Town

Ah, unfortunately I am using the dupes clause, which is how I was able to catch a Caterpie in the first place, by managing to not first run into an Abra on Route 25.

Trying to keep my pokemon balanced, and ended up literally making a random list of who to bring aboard the SS Anne. In retrospect, big mistake.

Also, I am awful at names.

This is my final team in a nuzlocke run of BlazeBlack2

I'm too lazy to make a sprite sheet of all my dead bros (RIP in piece ;_;)

Biggest surprise of my run was HungryHungry the Hippowdon, man this guy just wouldn't die all dat sweet sweet bulk.

Weakest member of this team was probably Wednesday the Gothitelle but oh well she managed to pull her weight at the Elite 4 with some clever use of Foul Play.

The run was pretty much over once I got Sheldon (my last member actually)
Shell smash+Icicle spear just completely raped the champion

Not doing a blind Nuzlocke, no way, would ruin my experience.

I am however, as always, going with Set battles and not using in-battle items at all in order to get rid of some of the player biased mechanics.

Started my HeartGold Nuzlocke a few days ago. Just beat Whitney with no trouble thanks to Lips, but I had my first death tonight thanks to a Rock Throw crit from Sudowoodo.

Platinum. Grinding before 8th gym. Machamp, Dusknoir, Magmortar, Magnezone, Gyarados, Abomasnow. I'm terrified about Elite 4 due to speed. Any advice?

I don't enforce catching rules until I can actually catch Pokemon, but you can start with the route that opens up next to Oldale after getting Pokeballs if you want. It's up to you, really.

I miss reading the comic the original guy did on 420chan. I've never actually done a Nuzlocke though, I'd need to grind but to make that tolerable I'd need an emulator, but I can never play games on emulators for more than 10 minutes.

This is my current party. I'm at the gates of the Elite 4 but I'm too nervous to go in. I have a fair few mons in the Box, including one that can use Spore. I might take them out and grind them into oblivion.

Kawaiicroc and Yuyuko can handle most of the E4.

I think you will get the most problems facing the Dark type guy. And don't forget Ghetsis and N fighting you. Better get a team of 6 and find an ice guy for Ghetsis' Hydreigon.

If one of those in the box is Scraggy then grind him up. When I played White I remember him absolutely destroying the Elite 4. Did the same with Heracross in Black 2.
