>>14386592Number 1 I guess. I would hope for a Gardevoir, but then, I guess that without Psychic abilities, I couldn't talk to it. Maybe a Fennekin or Vulpix? Foxes are actually really sweet. I just wouldn't want a Rock, Dark, or Steel type, since they tend to be big in the case of the first and last, and evil/mischievous in the case of the middle one.
I would actually like the gender and nature to be random. Seeing as how it wouldn't really be used for battles, I think that I'd be fine with most personalities, and gender really doesn't matter to me when it comes to pets.
