GameFreak gave Blastoise Mega Launcher and then they realized that there were only 5 pulse moves (including Aura Sphere) and that Blastoise could only learn 1 of them. So now it looks like they're changing Blastoises' learnset if the main site is to be believed.
They're still top tier idiots for making such a shitty ability in the first place. 1.7x damage total on STAB pulse moves? There's only 1 pulse move Blastoise/Clawitzer even get STAB for and it's an incredibly shitty move. Water Pulse has 60BP and 20% chance of confusion? Useless compared to the alternatives. The boost Mega Launcher gives pulse moves should be much, much higher considering that only there are only 5 of them total.
GameFreak pls. Scald, Surf, and Muddy Water exist. Hell, even Brine would be an acceptable replacement considering how slow Swampert is. Water Pulse is entirely outclassed even with a 20% boost.
