How did 7th Gen treat you favorite typing /vp/?

The only Ground types this Gen are what might actually be the worst early game rodent ever and Garchomp 0.5 and I can't even catch my favorite 5th Gen Poke in Kalos

7th Gen better make everything the fuck up for Ground(also Bug and Poison types too)

anyway, my real favorite? Water? Really well, between Greninja and Clawitzer.
my other favorites are Fighting and Poison, Fight got nerfed a bit but got Flying Press and Hawlucha, Poison got a big buff and Dragalge

Not well. Ice got shit on pretty hard this gen. Avalugg isn't very good. We did get Mega Abomasnow, though, so that's some form of saving grace, I suppose.

I don't know how Aurorus is, but I'm sure it's probably pretty bad, as well.

Poor Bug type, just the one evolutionary line and it looks like it's just gonna be a slightly stronger Butterfree

Electric only got 2 lines and 3 Pokemon total but at least Heliolisk looks pretty useful

Grass types ended up being pretty good, with a new combo, even though they decided to have two lines of them.

I'm somewhat bitter about Florges NOT being Fairy/Grass like what the fuck (holding out hope for Bellossom or some other retcon for fairy/grass combo)

Got Greninja, Pangoro and Yveltal but sadly I barely care for them at all. Chesnaught is pretty cool and I think I need to warm up a bit to Trevenant and Gourgeist by playing the game before I have any idea on them. Gogoat is gimmick tier but I guess he's okay too.

Goodra is very uninteresting to me and wasted potential on multiple levels
- I don't like it visually, I think they could've done a dragon slug thing in a more interesting way instead of "kawaii gooey dragon"
- I don't like the typing or stats. Pure Dragon doesn't really hold my interest and the stats and Hydration just scream "bland Rain tank". Well whoop de fucking doo I'm just jumping to use that shit. It'll be a good Pokemon but fuck going from the last few pseudos we've had then coming to this is a slap in the face. Sap Sipper is okay I guess because Breloom is a nigga.

Delphox, Talonflame, Pyroar, Mega Evolutions for Charizard (two no less) and Blaziken.

I'm pretty pleased. Fire/Psychic is a badass type combo. Although I'm going with Chespin, I don't care for Delphox's aesthetics.

After the bullshit that was gen 4, it feels pretty good.

Ghost and electric got it so good. Delphox stirs up all the good feelings I had of fire types back in gen 1 and 2. And Fairy is probably going to become a favorite of mine, even if its not exactly going to make a splash against dragons like GF wants us to believe.

Psychic. Delphox is my favorite starter in quite a while, and I like Malamar and Meowstic well enough. I didn't care much about Gardevoir before, but its new typing and mega form give it an actual niche now.

Feeling pretty sorry for the Ground/Bug/Poison fans. And was Dark really such a threat that it needed another weakness?

Ehh, not bad, better than last gen. The typing got a buff and there's the awesome poison seamonster, an actually good pokemon instead of garbodor or another bug/poison grass/poison. Even though scolipede was pretty cool.

I prefer a type buff and one awesome pokemon to 3 of which the only decent one is bug/poison. Barring gen 1 poison only got 2-3 new lines per gen, highpoint being 4 in D/P/Pt. Usually half of those was shit and another grass or bug combo.

Now we get something exciting at least, and a new type that's weak to poison. Also, version exclusives mean nothing in this day and age with how easy it is to trade. When you needed a link cable and to be in the same room sure, but who hasn't got internet these days?
