I honestly don't know if I should go with Fennekin or Froakie. I was originally going to go for Fennekin (before I saw the evos), but I really fucking love Greninja.

I'll probably stick with Fennekin because I usually do a fire starter. But shit, it's honestly a hard decision. I can't remember the last gen when that was the case... Shit... Gen I?

It would be a lot better to be more choosy about the gen 1 starter I think; since that's what you get the Mega evo stone for. If you like Blastoise go with Blastoise and you should be able to get a Froakie from someone pretty easily without having to worry about a Mega form item.

It's just SLIGHTLY too boring for my taste. I liked Braixen or whatever it was called, didn't care for Fennekin too much, but it wasn't bad for a basic pokemon.

Greninja and Chesnaught on the other hand are probably two of my favorite starters ever.

I went from Froakie, to Froakie/Fennekin, to Froakie/Chespin and finally decided to stick with Froakie.

For the record I think Chespin's line is the best (or most interesting), Fennekin's has the best middle evo (Froakie's the worst) and finally Froakie's has the best final evolution by a hair.
