I used beautifly in one of my emerald runs and loved the fuck out of the thing. it really helped in the first member of the elite 4 with all the dark types.

Pretty much this, Butterfree is pretty good in Gen 1 against Bruno and Agatha.
Beautifly is ass in Gen 3, though, but in Platinum it's decent.
