There was supposed to be a released interview on the 28th containing this information, but all we knew was that Ishihara was nervous of pikachu's popularity because of upcoming changes.

The use of the adjective "bold" and his worry about Pikachu losing its popularity, despite already featuring in a ton of spin-offs, suggests otherwise.
Unless they're making a Pokemon themed-dating sim with H scenes, I can't think of any other reason for the nervousness

Well, OP. I would definitely by a remake of Hey You, Pikachu.

It would work well on a 3DS. I fucking sucked in that game though, charcoal left and right.

I was worried for a bit there that they were going to change pikachu itself, though I don't understand why he would be worried about one bad game. I don't think 15 years of built up fandom for the yellow mouse is going to evaporate after on bad game.
