>>14404852Politoed is bascially the "baby's first rain team" lead. It's way overused and basically useless except for its ability, which allows a team of otherwise useless, gimmicky pokemon to become really powerful.
Kingdra would perform better than a number of people on that other guy's team, namely Gorebyss, who is pretty much just a worse Kingdra.
A Dragonite would also perform really well on a rain team, if you're fond of the big idiot.
Multiscale ability, Hurricane, Aqua Tail, Thunder, and another move of your choice (I like Extremespeed or Roost)
Dragonite is bulky as shit, and Multiscale works to shore up that bulk on the first hit. Hurricane hits hard as fuck when Dragonite uses it and it has 100% accuracy in the rain. Same for Thunder, it's the same thing just thrown in for power and type coverage. Aqua Tail is thrown in for the power boost in rain and takes out a bunch of really common threats. Extremespeed is good because Dragonite isn't the fastest by any stretch and a hard-hitting priority move does him a world of good. Roost is better if you want to be a fucking nuisance and keep him out longer and trigger Multiscale more than once.
