Did you know it's actually impossible for Europeans to legitimately complete the Gen 3 pokedex?

Nintendo never gave us a way to obtain Celebi.

event legendaries dont count towards dex completion. You can still get the diploma.

Actually completing it though, ya that does suck i guess. But they never really gave us a chance to get one either except for an event in NYC

OP, this is why the Pokemon Action Replay is super popular in EU. I have one for all the Pokemon DS games (makes EV training a lot less painful too). I'm hoping Nintendo will finally come into the 21st century with the 3DS, as it has a "proper" online component, so we'll all be able to access event pokemons, wherever we are on the world.

My bro. I didn't think there would be another person in the word who would do that, considering the oney and effort.

And I was just a high school student at the time. I saved alot of money to get all the stuff but it was one of the most fullfilling moments in my life when I did it.

I still treasure my Ageto Celebi, I personally obtained like nothing else in the world.

Yeah, no.
You can't play Zelda 4 Swords Anniversary Edition multiplayer since they didn't integrate any support for it.
You have to pay to transfer your old Pokémon over to the new games.
Region locking every system they own.

I can keep going all day if you want me to.

Prices for games and DVD/BRs in Japan is more expensive than elsewhere in the world. Not sure if it's due to a lack of plastic in Japan or Jap CEOs being cheapskates.

It's why Persona 4 Arena was region locked- it came with a Japanese text option in all versions, meaning Japanese gamers could have imported it from America and got it like ten-twenty dollars cheaper.

It's (partly) to do with currency conversion. They don't want you importing a game from a countries with weaker currency because they lose money that way,

Yeah that would be the main reason BUT there's also the shipping cost.
Euro is a ''stronger'' currency than the US dollar and I've thought sometimes of buying games from the USA.

But including the shipping cost, there's actually no profit. In best case I save 2~3 but may also get the game late which is bad by itself. So I prefer ordering from European stores, because the shipping cost is less and they deliver faster to my area.

So currency is not an issue.
