So if the games have a selectable language, then how is Masuda Method going to work? This has probably been addressed already, but I haven't read anything about it. Will the game use the 3DS region for determining it?

Games that have a different selected language will be treated like in gens IV and V.
How is a selectable language a problem.

PS.You get to choose the languge at the beggining, you can't change it mid-game

Because, say you buy the Japanese version of the game and you select English, would it treat your Pokemon as Japanese or English?

Otherwise if the region determinates if the pokemon are treated as foreign, Masuda method wouldn't work between German, French, Spanish, Italian and UK/Australian English games, because they're all PAL region.
The latter wouldn't make sense, so I guess the selected language determinates if a pokemon is ''foreign'' or not.

Language has no influence.

If you use Japanese on your NA cart it'll still be a NA poke

The games are still localized.

Even if you use Japanese language on an American game it'll still be treated as an American game.

Guys, guys, you're forgetting UK/Australian, German, French, Italian and Spanish are ALL PAL region games.

So either the language determinates if the Pokemon is foreign or there won't be Masuda method at all.

That's the TV system.
In video games they all PAL. Trust me I know because I live in Europe, and I've order games from all the above countries, with the exception of Spain.

Ok, still I'm almost sure Quebec have the american video game system. And for Spanish I guess a good bunch of the latin americans country have it too.

Haha actually no. I have discussed this with many bros here from Latin America and they prefer to get the American English version,

The Spanish version uses European Spanish which many guys from Latin Ameica don't like and Nintendo at least doesn't release a Spanish translation for the NSTC.

For Quebec I'm at least sure they got the HG/SS and B/W in French PAL region copies, but I dn't know any further than this,

Thanks I guess you know more than me with this. So a hstc 3DS from Quebec won't have any problems to run a PAL game?

Don't really know that. i'm guessing Quebec gets some PAL region consoles as well.
Logically speaking the games are region locked so it will have a problem.

Funny thing is I did some research because I wanted to Masuda method breeding and I was checking for cheap French copies from Canada and I saw they got the PAL version for HG/SS.

Realise that in Europe we've had multiple languages since the dawn of time itself. It isn't based on that.

OK les Jeux Vidéos au Québec utilisent tous le système NTSC et c'est pour cela que les premiers jeux pokémons par exemple étaient seulement disponible en anglais ici. En 2009 le gouvernement québécois a passé une loi qui force les compagnies de jeux a vendre n'importe quel jeux en français si une version francophone existe quelque part dans le monde. Bref le Québec a forcé les compagnies de jeux à faire des jeux NTSC francophones à partir des versions PAL francophones. Pour la DS à partir de 2009 le Québec a utilisé les jeux PAL de France directement car la DS pouvait utiliser les jeux de partout dans le monde, elle n'était pas zoné. Pour pokemon XY j'imagine que c'est la version NTSC multilingue qui sera vendu au Québec. Bref, c'est peut-être en partie à cause du Québec que gamefreak fait une sortie de pokemon XY mondiale et multilingue pour tous.
