Gengar just hits decently hard, but is still walled by anything with decent special defense.

Ya balance not kill off, also nobody really has any idea how they will effect the meta. GF can just patch as they need to anyways if they need stronger moves.

Megas are made for other reasons out side of the meta.

Ok so megas will have tiers just like every other mon. But some megas will be able to help lower mons rise in tier.

my main consider is filling up my pokedex without payin for a fuckin bank. I don't mind if it's $5 for life but if it's a mont or year fuck that. What happens to my pokemon? do they get deleted? I get them back? Do t hey get sold off?

It makes perfect sense that they would give you warnings like "Oh shit you're going to lose this if you don't pay in two months"
Plus there will probably be a buffer period, and considering how little data pokemon take up they will most likely store it indefinitely until you pay again
