okay, so, how do i make a poke in x & y have perfect evs and ivs? is it the same as white and black, or what?

Couple things.

Things will probably be the same as always, but EV training might be easier because of super training.

Wifi battles can be annoying because there are no rules, so you run into some fights that are either too easy or too hard. Be warned.

If you want good IVs, learn to breed. You don't need them perfect except for speed and maybe your attacking stat, but get them as high as you can.

Pretty much all of the above can be obviated by cheating. But then people will call you lame.

If you want to do a lot of competitive battling, stick to Smogon. Seriously.

getting nearly perfect evs and ivs probably won't be that hard will it? i mean, in games like diablo 2, nearly perfect was enough for me to do fairly well, legitimately that is

as long as i dont have to play against 6 mega mewtwos every game i think it'll be fun

There is nothing lame about cheating in pokemon, there is seriously no reason not to do it. Training them legitimately is a worthless time investment that doesn't make you better at the game.

okay, well how hard would it be to cheat? i dont even have a ds yet, i used to use gameshark in red (after i beat the game to do silly stuff like walk through walls) so im not turned off by the idea

Since the 3DS isn't hacked yet, you would probably have to wait until Pokébank is released so you can generate Pokémon that appear as legit in Gen 5 and transfer them over.
