How do I get X/Y early, if possible?

More importantly, are there consequences to these people getting it early? Does it count towards the release date sales? Or is the worldwide release gonna flop and we'll never get it again?

Get it from a local gameshop. They're more likely to give it out early. Worst case scenario, Nintendo will send you a cease and desist if you leak out information early, but it's three days till release I'm sure they don't care at this point.

If most local gameshops are like the ones in my area, they rarely will update their site and the only way to find them is through word of mouth. If you don't know anybody who knows about any local shops, you might as well just wait.

I'm in Denver and the only local shop I know of is more adamant about not breaking street dates than any other retailer I've talked to.
