Are they seriously showing this much starter favoritism? Why no other Hoenn starters, and why don't all the Kanto starters have X and Y forms?
Is it confirmed that they won't have X and Y forms?

the only pokemon with seperate megas are mewtwo and charizard
gamefreak has decided not all starters are equal
they know people like starter pokemon, theyre giving people what they think people want (and a lot do)
and they always have an event pokemon downloadable day 1, this time they went with a pokemon that happens to be a starter, and also has a mega evolution, to show it off
there are no confirmed mega evolutions for starters other than kanto and blaziken. others will likely be given in events like the blazikenite

Because firefaggots need an extra boost just to get by. Blastoise and Venusaur just have have one because they wanted at least kanto to be a complete set.

or do you pick the gen 6 one and get a gen 1 that's the type ineffective against your gen 6 starter
