It's really notable, because Zygrade is supposed to be a GUARDIAN of nature; whereas Nidhogg is explicitly stated to be doing harm to the World tree.
Az is the closet comparison (old man, one eye, 9 feet tall [9 being a sacred number in Norse]) but even then it doesn’t fit.

Az is a human (given long life via soul magic) king who built a doomsday weapon powered by Pokémon souls.
With the Muskadeer you could see that they fulfilled the same rolls (The Swords; enemies of Injustice, Three Pros and one new guy, the designs reflecting the Musketeers personas)
Here; if they did do the Norse Myth; they just took visual inspiration from it and overplayed a completely different concept on top of it.
