>>14424245Let's just face it already, the arguments on this board as to why D/P/Pt are bad don't hold up in reality.
>Slow battles Gen 1/2 are -way- fucking worse
>No fire types Who honestly gives a fuck? It gave us one of the best and most useful Fire type starters as compensation, and you have the ability to import from gen 3 for a reason.
>Slow surfing speedFixed in platinum, and it really wasn't that bad anyway.
>Boring regionAgain, Gen 1/2 are worse in every way. Gen 4 had snow routes, wetlands, a port-city and so forth. This is a fucking retarded argument that proves you have not played it enough.
>overdesigned PokemonI refuse to touch this argument because the examples used to justify it are stupid. Dialga, Palkia and Giratina are supposed to look ridiculous and resemble other-worldly creatures.
>too many pre-evos and evolutions to old PokemonX/Y are only introducing ~70 new Pokemon and making up for it with Megas. This is hardly a bad thing.
>too many LegendariesYeah well at least they had lore related to them and weren't there for no discernible reason like most of the shit in Gen 1-3. What fucking purpose do Moltres, Zapdos, Articuno, Latias, Latios and Deoxys serve?
Now let's talk about the actual flaws with it.
>Over-reliance on HMs>Mt Coronet has too much presence>GameFreak wasn't familiar with the hardware, resulting in bland, unpolished graphicsAll in all, it's seriously not the worst generation, and it had enough going for it to be memorable.
Now, excuse me while I enjoy those games for what they are instead of arguing how shit they are even though they belong to a series of games that have played the same since day one.
