I feel the same way about Charizard. I'm getting X, but Mega Charizard X is an awful design. The whole dragon type thing is cool, but it is hideous. Y looks pretty good.

The one thing I really want to know is what happens with the version exclusive Megas. Is there a Charizardite X and Charizardite Y? Or is there only Charizardite and you get the Charizard from whatever game you happen to be playing regardless of whether you trade it over?

Berries are consumed on use. I had assumed that they aren't consumed, I just needed confirmation from my irrational fear I guess. Didn't want to activate a bro's mega form for the first time then find that I don't have the stone anymore.

I read somewhere that with mewtwo it's two different stones. Being that it's a hold item, I would imagine you can just trade them between games and whatnot like any other hold item.

I don't think there's been much of a "confirmation" (Leakers don't really have anyone to trade with I'd imagine) but they're held items so it seems implied that you could trade between versions like any other held item.

Ah, here we go. Go to http://www.pokemonxy.com/en-us/pokemon/mega_pokemon/ , click "Mega Mewtwo X" in the links on the bottom, and go to the 4th picture under Mega Mewtwo X. Same animation is being shown there, and it specifically says it's Giga Impact.

No and yes. They don't immediately transform, but it does NOT expend your turn to mega-evolve. You can mega-evolve and attack in the same turn

The rumor kind of makes sense I guess, the mega stones have a "x1" next to them which is usually pretty characteristic of consumables.
Plus previous evolutionary items were always consumed on use.

Sure it'd be a dumb feature if this happened, but it's not ENTIRELY unreasonable to think it would.
