I like the Megas, but honestly I'd rather use 6 new evo lines on my team. Can't wait to train these fuckers.

So far my only definites are Chespin and Vivillon. Still waiting confirmation of some older pokemon, and even when I get that it'll be really hard to narrow my choices down and get a good balance

Then I get stuck. Charizard Y, Talonflame, or another Fly user? Golurk? But then I want Gengar, but then my more-than-one-type-on-a-team autism flares up. Mawile or Aggron? Will Granbull be remotely useful? I need a solid Ground/Fighting counter, too. Marowak is always awesome. Aerodactyl? Heliolisk? FUCK. Any advice?

Reminder that you can trade for Pokemon just by knowing their name now. So, you don't need the dex entry. Around the fourth-fifth gym SOMEONE will have put Noibat up.

Greninja, Pangoro, Aegislash, one of those forest ghosts, Clauncher's evo (don't know name/what it looks like yet, don't want to, so hyped) and... I guess we'll see. Couple of things fighting over the last spot. Might even run Mega Mawile if I can get it. Or Mega Galvantula.

Greninja, Venusaur, Dragalge and Vivillon are almost guaranteed to have a spot on my tea. Probably Dedenne too but I'm really not sure what to have in the last 2 slots: I'll just get whatever I happen to run into. Might also have a party of more than 6 and swap them out since leveling is so easy.

I can't stand megas and will only use new pokemon during the story. These are the pokemon I like best without fucking up type coverage the best. Either a redundant Dark with Pangoro or a redundant Dragon with Dragalge, or I could be even stupider and have a redundant Water with Clawitzer.

It's not a matter of rushing so much as avoiding needless effort. I've tried using four or five Pokemon equally, but I always find myself just using the strongest one past a certain point.

That being said, I don't really see Mega Aerodactyl as being legendary tier. I would never use Mega Blaziken though. It would be to unfair.

As far a Mega Aerodactyl, I wanted to use a pokemon that I've never really used in-game before. Plus I can get it early and have it be my flier.

That's cool. I'm saving Megas for the post-game.
I just can't decide if I want to use a fossil 'mon or not. I want a fairy, so I'm going with Dendenne, but I've no idea what all fairy attacks are in the game so far or if it learns anything decent.

I suppose if it doesn't I'll swap it out for Aurorus.

For my main game (was going to be X, considering Y now for the storyline), Delphox, Sylveon, Aurorus, Aegislash, Goodra, and Lucario. Will use Gogoat early on for the Rock gym, will catch Fletchling for Fly, and... apparently Aurorus doesn't learn Surf, so I'll find a Surfer SOMEWHERE.

For my other game, Nuzlocking, so who knows (although I'll probably go with Chespin for starter).

Wait, are we talking about the same gym? Grant's gym? Because I read he uses the two fossils and it's definitely Rock (as speculated, based on him being a rock climber and having a rocky theme to the gym), I've heard nothing about Bunnelby.
