>>14446924You're confusing something. Adaptability doesn't double the power of STABs, it sets the STAB multipler to 2.0. Scizor has STAB Technician bullet punch, 40 x 1.5 x 1.5 = 90 BP, Mega Lucario gets Adaptability Bullet Punch which is 40 x 2.0 = 80.
Scizor has a Base Attack of 135, Mega Lucario has a Base Attaack of 150. (155?) This difference in power essentially makes Mega Lucario's Bullet Punch comparable in power to non-boosted Scizor's Bullet Punch. Throw in the possibility of Scizor's Hold item and he can either have LO for 30% more power, or CB for 50% more power, or perhaps his own Mega stone which has the potential to be even more broken. Luckily for Mega Lucario, I don't think a Scarf would be enough for Scizor to outspeed him, and even though his defenses are paper-thin I don't think an un-boosted Scizor can OHKO him with Bullet Punch.
