Yeah, and it's part of the reason I really dislike Mega Aggron.

Normal Aggron: Has 150bp Head Smash complemented by Rock Head ability and STAB typing.

Mega Aggron: Fuck that shit, no STAB, or recoil-free, Head Smash for you.

What's its ability?
And being pure steel helps more than it hurts. Sure you lose STAB rock attacks, but you also lose 2 4x weakness.

Does anyone else feel like the ratio of evolutions is a bit off?

This one is almost all 2 stages of evolutions excluding the starters who are always 3.

Not a game shattering thing, I guess I don't like so much. Takes off a bit of the... flair of variation.

Well, comparing it to Gen I the ratios are actually ehh ok, especially if you account for later Gens adding evos.

Now that I really look at it, there's just less of them to showcase so it seems off to me.

That trademark rumor has started to come true, so I'm assuming the rest of the Pokemon on that list are getting Megas as well. And if Houndoom has one and its Y counterpart is Manectric, I'm counting on a Mega Manectric as well. Probably all of the exclusives.
