Pokemon and Digimon comparisons thread. Posting Pokemon and their Digimon counterparts that share influences/are comparable to one another in some way.

First off, Velgemon and Yveltal. Both are "demonic birds", and both are based off Norse mythology. Velgemon is based on Hraesvelgr, the corpse devouring eagle of the underworld, and Yveltal is based on both that bird and the eagle dwelling atop the world tree Yggdrasil
