No, Im saying this mega turned a bug into another fucking bug/flying, whereas some other variation of a different pokemon or different mega for pinsir could have resulted in an unused, awesome typing: bug/dragon. Instead we got a throwaway mega.

but that doesn't preclude you from using it as a lead Pinsir has the movepool to take out Stealth Rockers, especially with an attack boost from mega evolution. And that Aerialized Double edge, with STAB? It just made it a whole lot more useful
