I always go with designs I like for single player: my Black 2 team had Muk, Pachirisu and Dunsparce on it and it was glorious. Hell, I even try to use my favorites in competitive. The only gen 5 team I've used for more than a couple of matches is a team built around the fact that I wanted to use Articuno and Stunfisk and it's been pretty successful.
