I like Unown, but only the symmetrical ones. Back in the Crystal days I had no idea what the fuck was up with anything, so I caught an X Unown and grinded it with its stupid fucking bug type hidden power every gym because I thought it was some secret Pokemon with super strength when it evolved.

I finally realized my mistake, but couldn't hate them. They're too goofy and fun.

I always liked unown in GSC because I liked to picked Chikorita as my starter. I would then catch a Pidgey/Hoothoot, and send it first against an Unown. If it was super effective, I caught it and trained it so I had a somewhat viable way of putting some pain on Falkner.

It worked quite well, and was good against Bugsy since it was Rock type HP.

And Red's Charizard because why the fuck not?

I like unown as an idea. It has that mysterious air around it, and a cool cry. Helped escalated that "adventure" feel that you feel, so I think it's inclusion is worth it.

It sucks utter shit, though. But I think it's sort of meant to suck. Not really meant as a pokemon to catch and train, just.. another mystery in the world.

GF should change Unown's ability so that it gains a secondary type based on its Hidden Power type. It'll never be a good pokémon, but at least it'll be unique.
