No, not by level up. People tried to breed it onto Froakie and are failing

Not by level up. People are trying to get it on Froakie but just like SD, no good.

He learns Mat Block when you got to the move learner. It's like Wide Guard but doesn't block status

He feels like Serperior. In sufficient power, but unlike Serperior he takes far too much damage from even middling moves like headbutt.

He's a glass cannon without the cannon aspect. I recommend ditching him for Lapras or going with Mega Blastoise over him.

The reason why there's a ton of old pokemon is for people to pick and choose based on what they like. Don't like a pokeon? There's pletny of alternatives.

Greninja feels like a holdover from Unova's starters: Substandard slop.

But it's not actually bad, both in-game and in competitive.
It's already been confirmed to have Rapid Spin, which already makes it good in competitive since it's the fastest user of it. ghosts can't stop his rapid spin since he'll just use dark moves on 'em.

Anything beyond that is some bullshit you've made up. If someone wants to drop Greninja, they're free to do so. The game has plenty of alternatives to him.
