This truly is an age of wonder. I personally like all the mega evos so far. Some more than others, obviously. But still, I consider mega evos one of the few things GF got right this gen. If not for the potentially gamebreaking power ups, then the cool ass designs.

I'm warming up to megas and I use to be pretty staunchly opposed to them as soon as they came out.

I like the strategy of only having one per team (or fight, technically).

Some of the designs aren't that bad and the buffs some mons got from them are huge.

Let's face it, if Aggron got a regular evolution (4th stage lol) it wouldn't have gone pure steel and gotten filter.

A lot of the Megas blow everything away. Mega Mewtwo X/Y, Mega Medicham are all incredible. If Aggron turns pure Steel and has Filter? Shit. Not to mention Blaziken is guaranteed to be fucking ridiculous as well.

I'm pretty sure you find random stones in various locations after set intervals (every day, I believe?).
So you aren't limited to having only one of each stone. You just have to wait until another stone appears on your map during the post game.
