I've been testing the Safari feature with some of my friends and I noticed that only Pokémon that have your friend's assigned type as their primary type will appear, what really gave me definite proof was one of my friends who got assigned the Flying type and his Safari only gave me Noibat (I also think this is the reason they made its primary type flying too)

Yeah it isn't anything too big, but I thought it might be worth sharing.
