How can I find where there's a midnight release? The three closest GameStops aren't doing it

Will a 24-hour Walmart sell it to me at midnight?

Walmartfag here, if your area store is a 24hr store they SHOULD have them for sale at midnight. If not just go up and there and ask for a copy as long as its at least 12:01am they are supposed to get it for you

The Walmart here doesn't do any midnight releases. They only stock new games every Tuesday. If a game comes out on a Wednesday, you're fucked for a whole week.

If its a 24 hour store they are supposed to start selling it at 12:01 according to company policy. They have the copies and its technically release day.

Just called them. Lady didn't seem to be in the know, but told me that the store was open 24 hours, that no one worked in electronics overnight and therefore it won't stock til the morning, but I could ask an employee and see if they could pull it from the back for me, she just wasn't sure if they could.
I figure they can.
Sound like a safe bet?

When I bought the special 3DS XL there were people walking around there and cleaning, but the registers that they place specially over there were shut down. Maybe that's what she meant?

that could be so- they don't necessarily have a person on register, but since it's such a high-theft area they'll always have someone in the department. In all likelihood, they'll have the games behind the counter there

Games should/will be behind the counter, with an associate there to hand things out. It's mandatory for someone to be there due to high theft and high traffic. I work at a Wal-Mart, so yeah. Electronics will be one of the few places you'll always find someone.

I already preordered at Target, and I know that they don't do 24 hour releases since it was that same Target that I waited until 7am with my Dad to get a Wii.

I'd like to do a midnight release though. I've never been to one, and midnight is like afternoon for me anyway.
