Since when is Water supereffective against Dragon, Steel, Ghost, Psychic, Ice, and Normal?

The pulse moves add a lot of coverage for Clawitzer, and they're all boosted.

The opposing statement's lack of proof makes the statement true, everybody just started shouting it can learn Aura Sphere because of some anon posting a list of TMs and Egg Moves for starters but he never explained how he got that list, nor he posted pics to prove its truthfulness. Futhermore, the list didn't have Power-Up Punch for Delphox, but it is already confirmed it's a move it can actually learn.

130 base SpA and 100 in both defenses is basically what we would have gotten with megaOctillery.

nice, it is more viable than any of the other pulse moves, though? Right now I'm looking at a dark pulse/dragon pulse/aura sphere/heal pulse clawitzer, but if water pulse would be better than those I should probably replace it.

Running some calculations.

Water Pulse is 60 power.
Mega Launcher (1.20x) + STAB (1.50x) = 108 power
Mega Launcher (1.30x) + STAB (1.50x) = 117 power

Scald is 80 power.
+ STAB (1.50x) = 120 power

There's no point in using Water Pulse over Scald unless Mega Launcher is giving him a technician boost. Also, Burn > Confusion

Anon, that is a really nice bit of news you brought me. Let me run the numbers again:

Water Pulse is 60 power
Mega Launcher (1.50x) + STAB (1.50x) = 135 power

Water Pulse would basically match Surf's new power, while have 100% accuracy and confusing 20% of the time.

Aura Sphere would jump to 120 power
Dragon Pulse to 127.5 (round up or down? I forget)
and Dark Pulse to 120.

All of this coming off 130 SpAtk. Not bad, not bad.

Even if Blastoise now magically learns all those moves too, it won't be able to hold a Life Orb or a Choice Specs, making it inferior to Clawitzer. It can't even just Mega Evolve to just become a better wall because it loses its only way to recover itself decently, Rain Dish+Leftovers. Because it's not only the weaknesses that matter on a defensive pokemon, it's the resistances. It takes neutral damage from far too many things.

That's why Ferrothorn is so good. Huge defenses, healing, and tons of resistances.

Poison TOUCH is the offensive version. Any contact move has 30% chance of poisoning. Unfortunately, his attack is balls and his movepool is largely special.
