Just got a female chespin with sassy nature.

Is this a good nature for chespin, or would he need normal defense rather than Sp. Def?

Sassy will make her a very good Member in a TR Team. Chesnaught speed is only 70. Sassy will allow to get a very Bulk Spread, boosting it's lackluster SDef. But, for normal gameplay, maybe will come short.

Depends on what you want to be honest, mixed sweeper, attack sweeper, special sweeper
His special attack is 90, while his special attack in 90, yet his signature is physical.
I liked his design and such initially, but it doesn't make up for his lackluster stats.
I am prob gonna use Chesnaught for my initial playthrough (even though I'm still peeved at his special defense being lower than his special attack).

-SpAttack natures are best.
-Speed natures are second best.
+Speed natures are worst case-best case scenarios.

If DW ability is possible (and is the one that boost defense a stage per turn):
+SpDef nature is best, followed by +Attack.

+Attack will be more useful in game than +SpDefense.

+SpDefense will be more useful for as long as you decide to keep Power Up Punch in its moveset.
